Ingredients

  • 4 cups flour (any type)
  • 1 tbsp instant yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups warm water
  • olive oil

Instructions

preparing the dough

  • in a large bowl, add the flour, salt, yeast and water and mix them all together
  • ensure there are no lumps left
  • drizzle some olive oil on top of the dough
  • spread the oil across the dough to prevent it from drying out on the fridge
  • cover with a plastic film and refrigirate for 18 hours or overnight

the next day

    cooking the bread

    • drizzle some olive oil on a large cooking tray
    • place the dough on the baking tray, cover it and let it rest for at least 30 minutes
    • meanwhile turn on the oven at 180 celcius/ 356 Fahrenheit
    • dimple the dough with your hand to create a nice looking bread
    • add you toppings, you can use cosher salt, olives, some herbs. up to you!
    • move the baking tray into the oven and bake for 35 minutes or until the bread is golden brown
    • remove from oven and let it cool down a bit
    • serve warm with breakfast or tea
